GLOW Santa Monica - Saturday Night

While it's not an art gallery opening in the traditional sense, GLOW Santa Monica fills the LA culture gap in the best sense. This biennial festival of installation art makes its return to the Santa Monice Pier and surrounding areas this Saturday night from 7p-3a.

Download the KCRW Soundscape for an audio tour currated by Jason Bentley.
I'm definitely planning to check out installation from our friends at Syyn Labs:
"a 100-foot-long LED sculpture of 512 computer controlled full-color LED lights suspended from the trellice just south of the Casa Del Mar hotel."

Lastly, try to arrive earlier in the evening or bike it to the pier. Parking was a nightmare last time when over 250,000 heads showed up.

Shine on you crazy diamonds.
